TCC’s associate degree in social sciences prepares you to study at a four-year college or university in a wide variety of disciplines in the social and behavioral sciences. Those fields include anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, sociology and psychology. If you plan on a career in education, TCC’s social sciences degree will even prepare you for some teacher certification programs.

Associate of Science - Social Sciences
Designed for students who plan to transfer to a four-year college or university to pursue a baccalaureate degree in one of the social or behavioral sciences, TCC’s social sciences curriculum includes academic disciplines such as anthropology, economics, geography, history, political science, sociology, and psychology.
Additional Program Information:
First-time college students who meet GPA and other requirements may qualify for a 2-year transfer grant to apply toward tuition. Grants of $1,000 may be awarded for your junior and senior years.
Students in STEM (science, technology, engineering, mathematics) disciplines may be eligible for an additional $1,000 each year.
