Register now for TCC’s on campus child care

Tidewater Community College, in partnership with the YWCA South Hampton Roads, is offering quality child care services on its campuses in Chesapeake, Norfolk, Portsmouth and Virginia Beach.

Each center provides safe, convenient and consistent child care five days a week. Center hours are Monday – Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. for children 2 ½ to 5 years of age, with after-school and drop-in care available for children up to 12 years of age.

Registration for the Spring Semester 2015 is now being held in all Child Development Centers, Monday – Friday, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The TCC Child Development Centers are in the following locations:

Chesapeake Campus, Chesapeake Student Center, TCC Child Development Center, Room 110
Norfolk Campus, Norfolk Student Center, TCC Child Development Center, Room 213
Portsmouth Campus, Portsmouth Student Center, TCC Child Development Center, E101
Virginia Beach Campus, TCC Child Development Center, Lynnhaven Building, E153

Registration is on a first-come, first-served basis. TCC students receive priority registration for their children. Care will be offered to employees, contracted vendors and the community on a space-available basis. TCC Child Development Center services are available to any currently enrolled TCC student in need of child care. In addition, students can use financial aid to cover these child care costs. Students can authorize TCC to charge the cost of child care services to their remaining financial aid, after the cost of tuition, fees and any bookstore charges have been deducted.
