Career Fairs

Career fairs and hiring events on campus allow TCC students to meet employers and maybe land that dream job!

Tidewater Community College’s jobs fairs are free and open to the public, including transitioning service members, reservists, veterans, and their family members. Students can explore part-time jobs perfect for earning extra money while in school – or pursue talks with local businesses hiring for full-time positions after graduation.

You can also explore opportunities like apprenticeships, internships and off-campus experiential learning partnerships with some of the college’s local business and industry partners.

Students can register for upcoming career fairs and hiring events and get notifications for upcoming events through TCC’s Career Success Network. You can also view all upcoming events on the college-wide events calendar.

Preparing for Career Fairs

Career fairs are great networking opportunities! Make sure that you are prepared to present a professional persona during these events. Employers are looking for students who:

  • Wear appropriate interview clothing, meaning professional/business attire
  • Bring multiple copies of your resume to share
  • Demonstrate interest and knowledge about job opportunities in the local area

As with most events on campus, parking is free for students and employers at these events. Learn more about campus parking.
