TCC, JMU to co-host Visual and Performing Arts Fair on April 26 at TCC Roper

Tidewater Community College will pair with James Madison University to host a regional Visual and Performing Arts College Fair on April 26 from 10 a.m. until 2 p.m. at the Roper Performing Arts Center in downtown Norfolk.

The event is free and open to high school and college students with interest in the visual and performing arts.

Faculty and staff from both schools will be on hand to answer questions. In addition to informational sessions, activities will include mock interviews, auditions and portfolio reviews. These are available on a first-come, first-serve basis, so attendees are encouraged to arrive early and sign in.

Students interested in attending James Madison can also learn about the graphic design, interior architecture and art history programs there as well as information on becoming a studio arts major and preparing for theater, music and dance auditions.

Paul D. Camp Community College and Thomas Nelson Community College will also be represented at the fair.

The TCC Roper Center is located at 340 Granby St., in Norfolk. Parking is available in two adjacent garages. For further information, go to www.tccropercenter.org or contact TCC’s Shelley Brooks at sbrooks@tcc.edu or JMU’s Sharon Hill at hillsl@jmu.edu.
