TCC-ODU Monarch Ready Program

The TCC-ODU Monarch Ready program is an exclusive preparatory program for applicants to Old Dominion University. This invitation-only program provides students with an accelerated pathway to Old Dominion University through targeted support and academic readiness.

Applicants to Old Dominion University that are accepted into this program complete a free Tidewater Community College application. Then, applicants will be connected with a TCC outreach advisor who will guide them through the steps to enroll. The benefits offered by the TCC-ODU Monarch Ready program include:

  • Orientation to the program held in August to introduce TCC and ODU support personnel and resources
  • Specialized, personalized assistance via retention advisors and academic success mentors.
  • Individualized co-advising with both TCC and ODU advisors.
  • Support resources with Career Development Services, the Military Connection Centers as well as the Student Resource Empowerment Center.
  • Access to on-campus events like athletic events, Transfer Tuesdays, financial literacy workshops, and faculty spotlights.
  • Application fee waiver when you’re ready to re-apply to ODU.
