TCC offering free entrepreneurship training

Tidewater Community College’s Center for Workforce Solutions will offer free entrepreneurship training this summer. Information sessions will be held on the following dates and campuses.

June 19: TCC’s Portsmouth Campus, 120 Campus Drive, Building C, Room 118
July 8: TCC’s Norfolk Campus, 300 Granby St., Martin Building, Room 2610 (6th Floor)
July 14: TCC’s Virginia Beach Campus, 1700 College Crescent, Student Center, Room K313
July 16: TCC’s Chesapeake Campus, 1428 Cedar Road, Whitehurst Building, Room 2057

The Chesapeake, Norfolk and Portsmouth sessions are from 10 a.m. to noon. The Virginia Beach session is from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.

Training and support will be available in the areas of business planning; sales and marketing; accounting; website and social media development; and finance and credit. Additional free services include mentoring, networking events, workshops and seminars and other specialized training.

The Center for Workforce Solutions is a training provider for Launch Hampton Roads, a business start-up program funded by Workforce Investment Act funds from the U.S. Department of Labor.
