TCC Theatre presents “An Adult Evening of Shel’s Shorts”

Tidewater Community College Theatre  presents “An Adult Evening of Shel’s Shorts” by Shel Silverstein in the Black Box Theatre April 6-10. All shows are at 8 p.m., except for April 10, which is a matinee at 2 p.m.

The theater is in the Academic Building on TCC’s Chesapeake Campus, 1428 Cedar Road.

“An Evening of Shel’s Shorts” includes 11 imaginative plays wrapped into one production.

The late poet, songwriter and author wrote plays deeply infused with the same wicked sense of humor that made him famous for his children’s books, including “Where the Sidewalk Ends” and “A Light in the Attic.”

In “An Evening of Shel’s Shorts,” the audience is invited into the darkly comic world of Silverstein, a world where nothing is as it seems and where the most innocent conversation can turn menacing in an instant.

Tickets are $10 for adults and $5 for students and seniors. Payment is by cash or checks at the door. The box office opens 45 minutes prior to show time.

You can also purchase tickets with a credit card at the Chesapeake Campus Business Office, in the Pass Building, during normal business hours.
