Understand your customers: Workforce Solutions offers seminar on June 25

Tidewater Community College’s Center for Workforce Solutions will offer a free consumer behavior seminar directed toward small retailers on June 25 from 8 to 10 a.m. in the Advanced Technology Center Theater on the Virginia Beach Campus.

Guest speaker David Lobaugh, founder and president of August Partners, Inc., will present current consumer study data and provide commentary on trends that include omni-channel shopping, delivery options and the future of brick-and-mortar retailing. His presentation will discuss the five drivers of retail sales, demographics and how they can mislead, “Best Customer” merchandising and the effect of brand consciousness on shopping patterns.

August Partners, Inc., is a leading market research and strategic planning company in Marietta, Ga. In addition, Lobaugh is a faculty member of the International Council of Shopping Center’s John T. Riordan School for Professional Development.
