Literary Festival

The TCC Literary Festival is celebrating its 20-year anniversary in April. Students, faculty, and staff are invited to the Literary Festival’s keynote event on Tuesday, April 2, 2024 at 12:30pm in the Black Box theater on the Chesapeake Campus. Rekaya Gibson, local author and freelance journalist, is this year’s keynote speaker. Rekaya Gibson curates products for Cuisine Noir Magazine and has published numerous books and articles on topics such as magical foods, social media dynamics, and the complexities of colorism. Her literary contributions have appeared on numerous platforms such as The Virginian Pilot, the Daily Press, The Spruce Eats, Huffington Post, Condé Nast Traveler, and other lifestyle publications. Light refreshments prepared by the TCC Culinary program will be served after the event. Please join us in celebrating 20 years of literary tradition at TCC.
