Automotive programs

Automotive Technology

TCC prepares you to become a technician in the automotive repair field or provides updated training if you’re already working in the field. You can also specialize in manufacturer-specific programs from Honda, Toyota and Fiat Chrysler. 

Automotive Chassis Systems

Prepare for the National Institute for Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification exam in steering and suspension and brakes. You will also be prepared to take the Virginia Safety Inspection exam. 

Automotive Electronics

Classes in basic automotive electrical diagnostics, automotive climate control and advanced electrical diagnostics prepare you for the ASE certification exam in electrical/electronic systems and heating and air conditioning. 


Specialize in the service, diagnosis and repair of automatic and manual transmissions, transaxles and engines, and prepare for the ASE exam in engine repair and transmissions. 

Engine Performance

Gain the skills to service, diagnose and repair engine management and control systems and prepare for the ASE certification exam in engine performance. 

Manufacturer certifications

These two-year program combine theory, hands-on work and live shop experience to give you the most up-to-date education available.

Fiat Chrysler Automobiles (FCA)

Mopar CAP is designed to train students to become automotive technicians at Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep, Ram and Fiat dealerships.

Ford Automotive Student Service Educational Training (ASSET) logo


The Ford ASSET program trains students to become service techs at Ford and Lincoln dealerships.

Honda Professional Automotive Career Training (PACT) program logo


Honda PACT offers students the opportunity to train and work at Honda and Acura dealerships in preparation for work as technicians.

The T-TEN program offers students the opportunity to train and work in Toyota or Lexus dealerships.

The Subaru U program offers students the opportunity to train and work in Subaru dealerships.
