Breaking Through A Showcase for Actors

CORE Theatre Ensemble and the TCC Roper Performing Arts Center team up for a fabulous evening of live streamed monologues exploring topics and issues that are especially relevant to humankind today. The live performances will be selected from the “Breaking Through” collection, a trove of taped monologues from both students and the community that will be permanently available online. Monologues are are accepted from anyone high-school age or older. For more information, please email roper@tcc.edu.

This event is part of Tidewater Community College’s “My Thoughts My Voice My Art” series of music, visual arts, literary, and theatrical programming developed by the Arts & Humanities Pathway.

Free and open to the public, all are invited to join us for these compelling events featuring themes of diversity, adversity, inequality, social justice, and empowerment. Events will include art exhibits, music and theatrical performances, lectures and panel discussions, and more.
