Network with the Employer, VBPS AVID Tutor Program

TCC Career Services is sponsoring "Network with the Employer Event - Virginia Beach City Public Schools, AVID Tutor Program! Wanted: College Tutors to Support the AVID College and Career Readiness System! Interested candidates can join the virtual event to learn detailed information on becoming an AVID Tutor with the Virginia Beach Public Schools.
Job Seekers: Check in at the Southside entrance of the Virginia Beach Student Center, next to the Photo ID Office. At the Welcome Desk, you must sign-in and mention that you are attending the event to gain access to the second floor!
Meet with Mr. Andy Via, AVID Tutor Coach, Office of Student Support Services, to discuss the program in addition to answering in questions you may have about the program and the application process.
Virginia Beach City Public Schools (VBCPS) is now hiring Part-Time AVID Tutors who will be working in person with AVID students at all middle and high schools. AVID is a research-proven, college and career readiness system designed to increase the number of students who enroll and persist in colleges and universities. College students who have successfully completed 30 college credits or more with a GPA of 2.8 or higher and other qualified alumni and staff are eligible to apply.
