Rock Music Laser Light Show featuring Rush 2112

28 Feb
When: Friday February 28th, 08:30 pm - 09:20 pm
Where: Science Building, Planetarium J100

Address: 1700 College Crescent, Virginia Beach, VA 23453

Description:

This production is a laser light show, accompanied by music from the progressive rock band Rush. It features music from their "2112" album.

“Over forty years ago the three prophets of Rush foretold an intergalactic war on their prog-rock album, 2112. They predicted that in the year 2062, the universe will finally find peace — and oppression — as the Solar Federation unifies warring planets and instates the music-hating Priests of the Temples of Syrinx as overlords. Everything will change, however, in 2112 when an optimistic free-thinker finds a "strange musical device" and martyrs himself while attempting to bring melody to the stars.”

This program is free and open to the public. Reservations are required! There will be, however, a very limited number of standby tickets available at the planetarium on the day of the show. You must arrive at least 15 minutes early to guarantee your reservation.
