Tidewater Community College Theatre Department will hold open auditions for the Merchant of Venice. Audition Dates: Wednesday, March 2 from 1-3 PM via Zoom. If you cannot make the open auditions, you can submit a video audition prior.
Callbacks – Thursday, March 3 from 7-9 PM, at the Chesapeake Blackbox Theatre, located at 1428 Cedar Road. Prepare a one-minute Shakespearian monologue or e-mail mgorris@tcc.edu for one of the selected monologues. All roles open to all genders and ethnicity.

In-Person Rehearsals March 21-24, March 28-31 and April 4-7 from 7-10 PM, at the Chesapeake Blackbox Theatre. Production dates will be April 8 & 9 and 14-16 at 7:30 PM and April 10 at 2 PM. TCC Theatre will be following strict COVID protocol. These rules and regulation can change based upon federal, state and local updates.
These include, but not limited to: • Cast and crew will be required to wear a mask during the rehearsal process, while not on stage but mask will be removed for production. • Cast and crew members will be briefed on cross contamination and sanitization regarding props, costumes and other elements. • Hand sanitizing stations are located inside the theatre, backstage, dressing room and around the Grove Stage area. • Cast and crew will be required to sign in upon entering the building • Props, dressing rooms, bathrooms and common areas will be cleaned nightly • A full list of rules and procedures will be presented on the first day of rehearsals
