Tidewater Community College offering Veteran Symposium on Oct. 28 at Joint-Use Library

Tidewater Community College’s Center for Military and Veterans Education will host its third annual Veteran Symposium on Oct. 28 from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The symposium will be in the atrium of the Joint-Use Library on the Virginia Beach Campus.

Prospective students will have the opportunity to learn about using their GI Bill benefits at TCC and can speak with various Department of Veterans Affairs service providers and veteran service organizations. Topics covered will range from VA home loans and disability compensation to federal employment to TCC academic advising for military-related students.

Employers will be present for potential hiring opportunities, so participants are encouraged to bring a resumé. Information mini-sessions will be offered every 15 minutes throughout the day.
